Busy Day

Today was a busy day. Last night Carolyn fell and twisted her ankle very badly. I insisted Joey take her to the emergency room, which he did. And they told her to stay off it today, which she did. However, we had to take her to the bank because her new checking account had not sent her checks or her bank card. She should be getting the card very soon. They said between MLK Day and the snow and ice of the past week, everything was slow. We then went to the Post Office to get her change of address cards.

Then Raf took his piano lesson with Donna Perkins. He is really enjoying his lessons. Donna and her husband, Rual, are planning on attending a music retreat in Maine this summer...luck them!!

Then we took Turtle back to the vet as she had taken her stitches out and needed booster shots. Everything was well with her. Interestingly, my friend Jane Hayes, who lives three block away, also found a torti during the same time we found Turtle. As her torti has had the "operation", too, from the same vet, and I asked if they could be litter mates. The vet, Jacqueline Talley, thinks not.

Then we went to H2JO for a coffee (Raf) and a strawberry Italian cream soda (me).

Today I also embroidered two more faeries from Carolyn's {secret} quilt. I would like to get it quilted next week. I have a wizard to embroider and some other small things before I begin quilting.

The blod pressure is manageable, but I would like it lowers, still.

Here is the latest iteration of the "the flower". I like it best...and I am going to stop doing white for a while. This is colored pencil with various white inks and paints. It's still not good.

Dear Sioux...Your flower keeps getting better and better,eh but I will not get over the first time I laid my eyes on it and even then it was LIVING!!
It is just so delicate and pretty and now it is getting downright perky!

If that Raf is taking piano lessons ,you better make sure that he is practising!! ha!
I used to teach piano and I could always tell if the "kids" were doing their "homework"!

I hope that Carolyn takes it easy for the next few days for that ankle to get better.

You know in Canada, it costs about one hundred dollars to get a change of address card!

No way Sioux...There is only ONE Turtle and that is our Turtle....one of a kind that little darling is!! Spoiled but still cute.

Have a good day dear friend.
I am going to try and do a posting today.
I took lots of pictures of my new great nephew, who visited his grandpa and gramma this Sunday..
Talk to you again....Love Terry

Strawberry Italian Cream Soda? Yummy!
This flower is great, I think it's the veins in the leaves! Very nice...

Hope Carolyn's ankle feels better soon. Glad Turtle is healing well. It's good to hear that your blood pressure is down. I think Tim uses cinnamon some way or another to bring his blood pressure down. I'll have to ask him about that.

I like your flower picture alot.

I'm glad Turtle is over her op, and all is well. White flowers are tricky aren't they, though you seem to have captured this one very well.
Just keep stroking the cats..and you BP will settle down, I promise..1

I think you are being to hard on yourself, the flower is good and the dark back ground reall makes it pop. I agree with Sheila, petting the cat is great therpy, prayer is good to and I will be praying for you and for Carolyn.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's ankle. I was also surprised to read Terry's comment that a change of address costs $100 in Canada! Who knew. Strawberry Italian Cream Soda sounds just yummy!

Well, sounds like the high point of your day was the coffee. It's always the best part of most days for me. Java is my favorite. So - what happened with the Episcapal meeting. I miss any story that might have appeared about it.
