Friday in South Padre

Today we started out with breakfast at the Grapevine Cafe...best breakfast anywhere!! I had migas; Raf had his regular overeasy eggs, sausage, hashbrowns. YUM!!

Beautiful flowers on the dunes.

Tall, glowing yellow flowers on the dunes.
We were so disappointed seeing the beach. The two hurricanes last year tore up the beach...and the town. We had no idea they had to get a grant to fix South Padre...they town was torn up. They had to have dump trucks haul out the trash washed in from Louisiana. You cannot, easily, drive to the cut. We drove about 5 miles up the beach and turned around...didn't even get to the nude beach ;>) .

These painted dolphins are all over Port Isabel...like the cows in Fort Worth and the rabbits in Odessa!
There is a beautiful bird feeding area at Laguna Atascosa Wildlife area. Here is the water feature.

There were javalinas with two babies and many, many green jays. My camera when haywire...or I did, so the photos aren't great.

Today at 5:30 we are going on a dolphin watch in the Gulf...then eating at the Sea Ranch.

More later.

Those are some really neat photos Sioux! Yes, that is why people go to the warmer climates.

Do you have wireless? Wondering how you always are able to share things while on the road.
