A Day at the Fort Worth Symphony

Fort Worth Skyline

What a wonderful time we had yesterday afternoon. Our friends, Donna and Rual, couldn't use their tickets to the Fort Worth Symphony's concert at Bass Hall and they offered them to us. We went to church at St. Luke's and then off to Fort Worth. The concert began at 2 pm. The program consisted of Dvorak's Othello Overture, Op. 93; Elgar's Falstaff, Op. 68; Liszt's Hamlet; and Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture. This included narration by Michael York.

It was all quite wonderful, and we especially liked the Dvorak piece.

While we were there, we discovered old friends, Remo and Cynthia, were right across from us, so we got together afterward and ate supper at Red Lobster.

We capped off the evening by going to Central Market for our weekly grocery shopping...so much better than doing it at home!

All-in-all it was a splendid day!
