Family Independence Day! God, Family, Country!

Family is truly important to me and to most of our family, and we endeavor to get together at least once a month for a family dinner, but on Independence Day we truly celebrate the birth of our dear country.  We meet at our daughter Christi's house on Lake Graham.  And this year was a real blessing because Lake Graham actually had water in it - something we had not seen for several years.

Our grandson John has just bought a new boat, and we were all keen to ride in it.  It was the most comfortable boat I have ever ridden in!

All three of our daughters and five of our seven grandchildren were on hand with many friends and other family.  I do believe the boat rides were the best.

This was the early cruise.

This was sort of the sunset cruise.

I also got a great shot of Raf with John's dog Diesel.

And, yes, he is a great Papa!

We ended the evening with fireworks from all around the lake.  Lovely!

Can we ask God to bless America
when America has turned from Him?
Can we ask Him to save us
when we have turned our backs on His Word?

This country was created
one nation, under God,
but we appear to have lost sight
of what that actually means.

If the government of this country
decides to change His laws
I don't believe He will bless us
I don't believe He can.

So what must we do
to ensure God's blessings?
We must fix ourselves up strong.
We must follow His teachings.
We must do what is right.
We must not follow other people.
For they will lead us astray.

We must once again abide
by God's commands.
If we are to make this country, once again,
on nation under Him!

You have all the pleasures that a large and loving family can bring. You are truly blessed.
