Tueday, a very strange day

Today was a most interesting day. We began with a trip to the office of the Anglican Diocese of Fort Worth. I needed to pick some things up, and we wanted to attend the Noon Eucharist in the St. Leo Chapel there. Attending with us was Bishop Gerard Mpango, the bishop of Western Tanganyika in Tanzania. The bishop and his wife are on a crusade mission to the United States, visiting those churches and dioceses, like our Fort Worth Diocese, that will not accept the lack of scripture and the marriage and ordination of gays preached and believed by the Episcopal Church. Bishop Mpango and his people have been greatly supportive of us, and for them we are eternally thankful. I really enjoyed visiting with Mrs. Mpango, and I hope to be able to correspond with her in the future.

After we had run a couple of errands, we hurried to the Apple Store in South Lake Town Center, and the Genius there fixed Raf's laptop. We then ate at the Brio Tuscan Grill. The food was absolutely fabulous.

After eating we stepped outside where I took a couple of photos of the town center, and then I twisted my ankle and fell. I sprained my ankle and got 4 scrapes to both calves. I strained a lot of muscles, but I seem to have done the hip no harm. Thank God. I have begun walking again each day, and I don't want to stop, as I have that three-miles walk in Nashville on our 30th anniversary, and I intend to do it.

The moon is beautifully full tonight. This is not a good photo, however.

Finally, my first cousin Bob Dillard, age 59, died tonight in a Midland, Texas, hospital. I have a hard time seeing a world without Bob in it. He was a very ill, very bitter man, but I loved him. I remember when he was a little boy, and that's the way I see him.

Bobby, rest in peace, and may that peace be all the peace you wanted in this world and couldn't seem to find. I love you, Bobby.
