Skywatch Friday

Our North Texas sky was gray this morning as a much needed rain storm had passed by during the night. Since we are almost always in a burn ban situation in North Texas, the rain was a welcome relief, and once the storm had abated, the sky became a bright, clear blue with white, puffy clouds floating over our post oak-filled yard. Mississippi Kites whistle overhead, buoyant and graceful, as they pursue flying insects (see the little black dot in front of the cloud). At 3 pm the temperature is a lovely 83˚F, a great relief from the 100˚F+ weather of the week before.

I just looked out my window and the sky is looking just like your picture:-) We were supposed to have rain again today but it only drizzled a bit and then cleared right up. Have a wonderful weekend my friend. xoxo
Beautiful sky framed by lacy trees. My pictures are of a mackerel sky before the storm. I invite you to come see. - Margy

Beautiful photo - and we've also had a cooling off here in Colorado, thankfully! In fact today is downright chilly - with steady drizzle all day - really nice!
Very natural, my favourite kind of skywatch.
