Comfort...for Jennifer and for all those gone before

Suffering now gone
Pain is released, spirit free
Memories linger

This collage is of my childhood. All these people live in my memory forever.

Beautiful! I really like your collage and haiku -- they are filled with love. And the spirit being free reminds me of birds and butterflies flying on a warm day.

All those sweet faces ... they trigger memories for me, as well, somehow. Thank you.

Just lovely. The words tender and the photos are a treat. I have a fascination for old pictures. Great presentation.

This is such a wonderful and poignant haiku. I am sur jennifer will take much comfort in it as I do. The one thing that helped me get through the loss of my own father was knowing he didn't have to suffer any more...
Thank you, Sue...

That's a lovely tribute collage.

Now onto another topic: I once dressed my daughter up as an actual aubergine for a birthday party!!

I am also part Sioux. Not enough to get college aid money, but enough to have lovely high cheekbones and scooped incisors.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope the goat udder play-doh incident won't scare you away from coming back!

Dear Sue Sioux,
I enjoyed the collage you've made. Those happy memories will linger on forever, I am sure.
I think I'll try to copy you in doing something similar with my happy memory moments. There are so many, it'll be hard to choose.
I would lie to hear some news about Joey, how are he coping at the boot camp?
I tried to look up at a map the birthplace of your husband. Pritty near the Dutch bord?
I have had a good German friend from nursing school. She stayed in Norway for a year as exchange student, later on finished studies in Bethel near Bielfeld by teutoburgerwald.
I've been down there and visited her and her family, and she uses to come to norway when she has an opportunity.
37 years this autumn since we first met.
Thanks to Christa, that's her name, I still have not forgotten the German language I learned in school.
I hope things are well for you all.
Sening my best of reguards.

When thinking for this prompt I was trying to write something about the equation for comfort. I didnt manage it, but this comes close.

You are so right.
Everyone we have ever loved is forever safe in our hearts and minds. I always try to remember people without photos, make eye contact, really connect with them, so that they are imprinted on my mind.
