Ruby Tuesday

Our Bethy (second from right...by the coach) is playing in the United States Fastpitch Association World Series in Panama City, Florida, this week. Last night she hit her 5th, for the season, home run. They are 14U.

This is a RUBY as it gets today!

Now off to write more of my book!

Ruby Tuesday

There was a lot of red over Independence Day.. Like bunting and the flag, Travis' shirt, Christi's shirt, Bethy's newly dyed hair for the World Series, and Raf's birthday strawberries on pound cake with whipped cream!

Raf is 68

Well, yesterday was Raf's 68th birthday. He had already gotten a new camera, but I got him a pair of shorts and a shirt (thanks to Barney and Allen).

We started the day with eggs and bacon at the house. Then we took off for Fort Worth. We ate lunch at Kincaid's Hamburgers. We went to the Omni, an IMAX theatre, in the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History to see a movie on Van Gogh. We went to the art store, to the Amon Carter Museum to see the Ansel Adams exhibit, to the book store, and finally dinner at Saltgrass (they are about the only people in town who serve Prime Rib (guess that is "out" right now in the culinary world)).

Then home. Carolyn, John, and Bethy came over for a while. He got lots and lots of phone calls and well wishes on the net, especially of FaceBook. I think he had a good day.

He is the love of my life, and I am so thankful for him. Happy Birthday, again, Honey!

At Saltgrass getting a birthday telephone call while drinking wine.
At the Amon Carter...I was not suppose to take a photo here, but an old man guard came up and yelled at me about taking a photo when I was texting John. I was NOT taking a photo, but he kept on and on...so I just did anyway!
At the Omni we saw a Van Gogh film.
