In viewing my art and other's, this thought came to mind.
Years ago my aunt used to talk about a man she would meet on the sidewalk as she went to work. He always had a frown, so she would smile and say, "Hello". It took months, but slowly he began to smile and speak, and finally she saw him smiling when he didn't even see her! Also reminds me of Under the Tuscan Sun, when at the end the old man looked up at her and smiled and tipped his hat.
I try to smile at everyone. It's amazing the effect it can have on others!
We simply have to smile, it's too hard not to, and, perhaps, we can encourage one old sour puss to get a little less sour...to be a banana rather than a lemon! Bananas and lemons are both yellow and bright, but one is sweet and the other is sour. I'd rather be sweet.
Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!!
